Safeguarding at St Mary's

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, dial 999.

At St Mary’s, we seek to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. We take special care of children and of adults who need assistance to manage their lives. Volunteers and staff for some roles involving children and vulnerable adults will be asked for DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks.

Click here for our Parish Safeguarding Policy, which follows the House of Bishops' Promoting a Safer Church; Safeguarding Policy Statement.

Katherine Prior (07796 440670) is our Safeguarding Officer and looks after Children and Youth matters.
Richard Stephenson (01273 958339) is our Vulnerable Adults Officer.
You may also discuss concerns with Fr Andrew Woodward (01273 698601).
