Hiring the hall

St Mary's Church Hall has two assembly rooms available for hire. A kitchen space is also available by request, with serving hatches to both rooms, a community fridge, wall mounted urn, large sinks, and plenty of prep area.
Men's and women's toilets are available upstairs, with an accessible toilet and shower on the ground floor. The larger room has a double height ceiling with a small stage, accessed by steps to the front, and a seating area of approximately 7.5 x 9 metres. It can hold a maximum of 60 people seated. It has a linoleum floor. The room is suitable for meetings, support groups, adult learning classes, rehearsals, dance and fitness classes, workshops, private parties, and craft fairs. There is an accessible toilet (with baby-change facilities) just inside the main entrance and step-free access to the room itself. Small square tables, rectangular folding tables, and plastic chairs are available on request. The smaller room measures 8 x 5.5 metres and is carpeted and curtained. It is suitable for meetings, workshops, singing and other tuition. An upright piano is available in both rooms along with a digital piano in the smaller room. Hire costs - from January 2023 **PARTY and other BOOKINGS INVOLVING FOOD are subject to approval and may not be taken*** Large assembly room: £20 per hour Small assembly room: £17 per hour Both assembly rooms: £28 per hour Kitchen use only: £15 per hour (please note that there is currently no cooking equipment available, except for a microwave) Kitchen use on request, free of charge, when booked with either of above rooms. Discounts available for regular or frequent hire. If bookings with food are accepted, food may be consumed in the Large Hall only. A surcharge of £25, or £35 if both halls are booked, is payable, along with a refundable cleaning deposit of £50, charged in advance Availability Large assembly room: no weekday morning hire; limited availability on weekends and weekday evenings Small assembly room: no weekday morning hire; good availability on weekends and weekday evenings Check availability in any given week by clicking on the Church Hall Calendar. But please note that some bookings may be pending, so an empty slot in the calendar is not a guarantee of availability. Always check with the Venue Administrator before committing yourself to a date.
