The Friends of St Mary's, Brighton

UNFORTUNATELY, THE FRIENDS GROUP IS NOT CURRENTLY ACTIVE, IF YOU ARE ABLE TO COMMIT A FEW HOURS A MONTH TO ACTIVELY SUPPORTING AND PROMOTING St MARY'S, PLEASE DO LET US KNOW

The Friends of St Mary’s Brighton is a secular group that celebrates the aesthetics and heritage of the church and raises funds for its repair and improvement. Since its founding in 2014, the group has contributed over £10,000 towards a new organ blower, the purchase of a Bechstein grand piano, the repair of the Soames window in the north aisle, and replacement hood mouldings on the north transept windows.

It costs just £15 a year to join the Friends. There is a programme of fun and informative events each year, ranging from quiz nights to history talks to film showings, along with occasional jaunts to interesting places. The Friends also produce a range of Christmas cards every year to raise funds and also the awareness of the beauty and heritage of St Mary's.

Please send us an email if you would like to join the Friends or learn more about how the group works. We are always looking for new committee members and volunteer helpers at events.

Information about donating to the Friends is available here. All donations and monies raised are reserved for the repair and improvement of the church building and its facilities.
