Donating to the Friends of St Mary's Brighton
The Friends of St Mary's focus their fundraising on restoring the existing church fabric and improving the church's facilities for use as a performance venue and community asset.
In 2016 they are fundraising specifically for the repair of the Soames Window in the North Aisle, made by James Powell & Sons in 1897, and now in urgent need of remedial work to the stone, iron, lead and glass. The work is being carried out as part of the major repairs to the church's west-facing elevation funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, Garfield Weston Foundation and Sussex Historic Churches Trust. The Friends have adopted this window as their contribution to the match-funding St Mary's needs to add to these grants.
If you would like to make a donation towards the repair of this lovely window, please download this form and follow the instructions.
We are profoundly grateful to everyone who contributes to the upkeep of St Mary's, and we will always try to accommodate people's wishes concerning donations for the church fabric as long as the conditions are not too onerous.
